Default Missfireing

I have a check egine light on. I got it check and the computer said that number 6 cylinder was missfireing. I went out and bought a coil and a spark plug. Nothing happend. I have not done a tune up since last spring. I have only put about 1500hrs miles last year, I do not think it's the plugs. The only other thing I can think is trying to clean the fuel system or something. Also the air filter is fine. Any idea folks?

How come cylinder number 6 always mis-fire? Happened to me too and it was a bad coilpad.... I change that and also the coil harness also! Fix the problem but why always number 6????

Did not chage the coil harnes. I did change the coil pad, the plug and it was dry.
I'll have to try the coil harness then. I did not set the ECU fault code, could that be it?

Diagnose the problem and stop just throwing parts at it.
