Default Will a missfire throw a CEL?

Even if it's missfiring one cylinder (minor), will it throw a CEL? Reason I ask is sometimes when the car is warm and at a stop light (or parked), it idles alittle rough and I "THINK" I Feel a missfire occasionally but who knows.......

btw: It has 2200 miles on it. also makes a pop or knock noise when shifting into 3rd (manumatic mode Only)... dunno

They all do that. And yes you will get a CEL from a misfire. I raised my idle 75 rpm and it idles smooth.

I dont know . . .I have only used the cheap code pullers and Consult-II. My guess is only consult can do it.

most of the CEL's i have seen have been from misfires... usually when the rev-limiter is hit its followed by a CEL...
