Default Climate control: blowing hot air?

Hello everyone,

I', having a few issues with the climate control. Whenever I put the climate control on 60 degrees (A/C off) it blows warm air. The outside temperature is about 55 degrees and the air that comes out of the vents are about 67-70 degrees.

The problem I'm having is that the air isn't as cold as it should be. The a/c isn't ice cold either..

Is there a fix to this?

You probably need to take your car to an air conditioner repair shop to have them fix your problem. I'm sure there is a "fix" but the problem must be diagnosed first.

All 350Z's I've ever been in (mine included) blow warm air when it's at 60-degrees with the A/C off. When you turn the A/C on, it's only blowing at 60-degrees, which is just moderately cold. When you turn the dial up a notch, it's warm. I took the car to two dealerships under warranty and they told me that this was "normal."

So the dealership told you that it's normal for the car to blow warm air when it's at 60 with a/c off?

My problem is if I have it at 60 sometimes it gets a little too chilly so if I bump it up ONE notch from 60 it starts blowing warm air..warm enough for me to want to crank it down to 60 again.

K so I found the problem with mine..it is the cabin temp sensor located under your steering wheel. You will have to remove that plastic cover. The one that has the hole for your odb2 connector. There's iirc 4 phillips head screws then you just yank it off. The sensor is on the right side attached to the plastic cover. Check to see if it is disconnect and connect it. That fixed my problem hope it helps you cause I know not a lot of help came from this forum..
