Coolant flush, heat doesnt work now.
I have 2003 silverstone Z with 100k on it. I did a full coolant flush last night due to a new hose kit i put on my car last night also. i put all of the hoses back on i filled the radiator with water/coolant solution and filled the resiviour with coolant. I kept the radiator cap off and let it get up to operating temps and let any air bubbles come up and extra coolant come out. I put it back on and drove home and I noticed that the heat wasn't working. When I got home the resiviour was low so I filled it. then this morning i popped the hood and the coolant was low so I filled it again. I did some research and it seems like I have air in my system. I read that if I have someone slightly open the coolant bleed valve on the hose going into the firewall on the passenger side and squeeze the main coolant hose coming from the top of the radiator it would push all of the reamaining air out the valve. I did this with my brother but, there wasn't any coolant coming out so we closed it when I squeezed the hose. I let the car run and tried two more times either time there wasnt any coolant coming out. So I took the car for a drive and the heat worked. so im not really sure what was wrong. But when i got back I noticed that the lower coolant hose coming from the radiator was cool to the touch, is this normal? if anyone has any feedback that would be great because im not sure if my problem is quite fixed. Thank you

This may sound over simplified, however you need to fill the radiator not the recovery tank. If the radiator appears full remove the top radiator hose at the radiator end and fill your coolant system there. Of course replace the hose and tighten the clamp

and again, once the system is full, take the bleeder out, and start the car, heater full blast. Once it gets up to temp, it will eventually start bubbling out of the bleeder. When its a constant flow, and not a blurbly sputter, reinstall the bleed screw, and cut the car off.
Once the car has cooled, top the radiator off again. If your symptom persists, rinse and repeat.
NOTE* If your car has ever had any "STOP LEAK" or "Radiator Sealant" BS, you could have an internal blockage, and god only knows where. Never use these products in any car you plan on keeping longer than a few weeks before trashing it.

lift the car up (driver side) to about 30 degrees. open your radiator cap, put a funnel in, pour anit freez in. make its a little over filled. then have someone squeeze the top and buttom hose, reatedly. watch as bubbles exit your system and the overflowing anti freeze inside the funnel seeps in. it may sound weird, but it worked on me. i had the same exact issue as yours, no hot air..
