Default Z ran out fuel, now hard to start

Hey there I'm new to the forum.
I have a 2003 350z track and recently I ran completely out of fuel.
I filled up with 95 octane because that's all the petrol station had ( I normally use 98) its been quite cold these few days but when I go to start the car it cranks for quite along time before it actually starts up.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what it could be, dirty fuel pump, filter or lines due to the empty issue? could it have something to do with the 95 swap?? the car feels less responsive but I haven't been driving it hard.

Thanks for all the help

Sounds like a dying fuel pump.

I agree. Running on fumes prior to running out of fuel may have overheated/somehow damaged your fuel pump.

I agree, a car I owned it was older and always driven with less then 1/4th of fuel. Started hard like yours and I was told it was the fuel pump.

You're making the fuel pump work hard when there isless fuel in there.

Keep an eye out for it. Fuel pump may "come back" for a period of time.
