Default How do you lift your Z?

I have been doing the old jack and jack stand method for raising the front end for the typical oil change; really looking for some ramps I can use that have a low enough angle w/ out being redneck (using wood, bricks, etc to get on the ramps). Any suggestions?

I made a set of ramps out of a couple 2"x6" boards, think it was like $20-30, works perfect with my floor jack.

I use Rhino Ramps with a pair of bevelled pieces of wood about a foot or so long when I don't feel like using the lift.

I used to do the same thing until I bought a low profile jack from Harbor Freight. Saves so much time.

I went to home depot and paid $20 for 4'x8' paid $3-5 for getting them cut. Its 3/4" thick. I drive up the ramp as slow as possible and so far I didnt need rubber stops.

I measured the height of my jack and I adivse you to do so. The gap between ground and front bumper + height of your ramps should be more than the height of your jack.

Then you need a hammer and nails.

Very nice! I would have never thought of it. I'm the type of guy who looks at a sheet of plywood needing two pieces of wood 3x3 and can only get one piece cut per sheet

Thanks! I may have my project for after cutting the lawn tomorrow
