I have an 06 model and the drivers side window motor has gone out. purchased one from advance auto and put it on. The window was down when it went out, so when i put it on i did not raise the window up, i know bad mistake. i wasn't thinking. but this is the first one i've done. the window would roll up about 5in. and go back down. so i took it apart again. raised the window up and re-installed and this time it liked about a 1/2in rolling up all the way. so i took it apart again. raised it up as far as i could, doing this by myself and re-installed. Now when i roll it, it goes all the way up then back down about 4in. can anyone help me out? thanks

 

You have to program the motor. It should've came with instructions. If not there should be some on the internet

As firekrave says you have to reset the motor. This is to set the 10mm drop when you open the door and when you close the door again you'll notice the window raise by 10mm creating a wind/water tight seal.

 

the window reset procedure is pretty simple. all you gotta do is take the door panel off and hold the reset button and roll the window up and down.

 

How have you got on with the window reset? Did it so the trick?
