Default Recall Question : Different year, same symptoms

hi all . my name is maggie and new here. been browsing the site for a few days but couldnt find any answer to this question. recently, my 2005 Z has been having these symptoms that were included in this recall:

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...0&summary=true

the issue is that my Z is a 2005 and this recall was for 2003 Z's. Would anyone know if the dealer would honor it being that my car is a 2005? i am aware of the 10 yr rule and just under that window but I am pretty sure they will try and weasel there way out of free service.

Thanks for the read and happy cruising

I'd be very surprised if symptoms you're experiencing are being caused by what necessitated this recall.

i am not quit sure yet what is causing the issue. some say the keys and fob may have to be reprogrammed.

it just seems my symptoms were very close to what the recall was for. recall was for 2003 Z's and havent seen a post with the issue with 2005 Z's so maybe your right. would also make sense for Nissan to fix the issue since they had a recall two years earlier.

well it turns out it was the same issue as the recall for the 2003 (mine is a 2005)so i just replaced all three sensors and its running like a champ. i went through partstrain.com but wouldnt recommend to anyone. they sent two open packages. not the fedex box, but the box the part was in. they replaced both but swore that was a one time thing and not part of there normal operating standards. any how, took to my guy and put all 3 of the sensors ( 2 cam and 1 crank) under and hr and for 48 a bucks. i prolly could of done it but i am a lazy american and its hot as **** here in florida. but i have better acceleration, better idle, smoother over all ride. those cam sensors really did the trick.

anyone with cam sensor questions, feel free to ask i feel like i know everything about those little bastards now. go noles.
