Default Clutch help?

This morning on my way to work my clutch decided to just lay on the floor it had about an inch of movement in it still and I could get the clutch to still engage and disengage. I got it on a lift while at work and there is fluid coming from the bell housing. (Where the dust cover is.) so i went on and drove it home and as soon as I got in to my subdivision my clutch went out. I can't push it any more cause it's completely on the ground now. Any one know what the cause of this May be? Any help is appreciated.

You have two choices:

1- Easy way: https://my350z.com/forum/drivetrain/...?highlight=CSC

2- Hard way: https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/4495...r-problem.html

GL.

Wow that "hard way" is no joke. That's insane. Do you have to pull the trans or can you just slide it back

Your CSC may be covered under a recall for the 2007 model year CSC. Give Nissan USA a call and tell them your VIN number. If your car was covered and not repaired under the recall, you may be looking at a free CSC in your near future. It can't hurt to check. Do not call your dealership to see if you qualify. Call Nissan USA. Sometimes dealerships will tell you that you don't qualify for recalls so that they can charge you (this isn't as rare as it sounds; I've been screwed this way twice by GM and once by Mazda - shame on me, I know).

Yes, you have to pull the trans. Its a lot of work and I had to do it because there was no other options back then. I was the first to do that.

Speaking from experience... don't replace it with the same crap OEM parts that will fail again, get the z speed kit and be done with it.. btw labor is going to cost ya a shiny penny or two

I appreciate all the input. I'll call Nissan USA tomorrow and hope for the best. I work at a "stealership" just the wrong make lol. So I have access to a lift if I wish to tackle it myself.

I second the CSC from z speed. its $325 but you will never have to replace it again.

The OEM unit is plastic and cheap. It will fail again. It lets lots of clutch dust into the lines as well, this is the nature of a CSC but the stockie exacerbates the problem

I put in the zspeed csc and an ACT HD clutch and I love it. I drift at least once a day and heavily at least once a week and no problems so far.
Also, it makes bleeding the clutch completely painless because it adds a separate bleeder line

Those are a bit out of my price range for the time being. I'm not sure what exactly to do. It may already have an aftermarket clutch in it. I bought it used so I'm not sure what's under there. It would make sense if it's aftermarket since the slave blew out on me.

Sometime the CSC will blow with stock clutch.

Look here: https://my350z.com/forum/drivetrain/...-shipping.html

Kyle is one of the best/cheapest vendor here.

If money is tight then just get the ZSpeed Performance HD Clutch Slave Cylinder CSC and JWT clutch and keep the stock flywheel. Should be $700-$800 for both.

If you can afford to replace clutch, might as well since its just another couple bolts

I think I'm going to go on and get the clutch master cylinder and the csc from zspeed and get a clutch through them as well. Probably a stage 2. What brands would be good to go with that they sell?
