Error Code P1273
Hey guys!
I just wanted to share a recent code I got and how I very quickly and easily resolved the issue. My car (running catless with a plenum spacer and CAI) threw SES code P1273. The code reader I used made it sound like my bank 1 (passenger side) wideband was going bad (either the sensor or the heater).
After doing a little digging, I realized that there wasn't a ton of information on the code but I did eventually find that it could be caused by a vacuum leak. Even a very small one.
At first I thought "Nah, no vacuum leak here. My car idles smoothly and runs great." But putting my thoughts aside, I checked the plenum bolts anyway and all of them were tight aside from two of the lower plenum bolts. Tightened those up and after a bit of driving and two or three starts, the code cleared itself. So before you freak out, check all of the possible locations for a vacuum leak and re-torque all of the bolts/clamps/fittings that are associated with the intake. Mine began to loosen after only 2-3k miles.
Just thought I'd post this here to give people a definitive thing to check when getting this SES code.

I guess I should specify that I have a DE. Not a rev-up and not an HR. (I know you know but others might not). The '06+ ECUs are much more sensitive and therefore the code could have more possible causes. My cat-delete y-pipe only threw errors for sensor 2 on bank 1 and 2 (not the wideband O2 sensors). Some non-foulers fixed that real quick and P1273 was the first time receiving an SES light since.
