Unhappy Whats wrong with my car?

Okay so for a couple months my car has been making some annoying noises when i go over speed bumps and i can't figure out what it is, i took it to pep boys and they told me i had to replace the front arms? what holds the wheels and they said it was going to be 1400 $ but i doubt thats what it costs or what it is thats making the noise, so i decided to post it to see if any of you guys can help.
Thanks

AHHAHA $1,400?!?!? Hell no!!!!

Diagnose where the sound is coming from first. Shake each corner of the car to see where it's coming from. And obviously it's something in your suspension

You should have asked them to show you what was making noise....

My bet, its a bushing that's old, worn, and or out of place.

It's coming from the front end of the car, what I thought at first was that the shocks were messed up but they said the shocks were fine

lca arm bushings or Compression rod bushings would be my best guess. No where near 1400 bucks, and can be done at home with jackstands and a press.
