leather seat paint
Hello!
When I purchased my used 350z i noticed there were mysterious orange specks around the cabin. On the arm rest mostly. After a few months of driving the specks faded away.
For a while i couldn't figure out what they were but i think i figured it out. The dealer sprayed my seats so they would look nice.
The car was spotless otherwise so i don't mind that they did a little touch-up,
I have the "orange" vented seats. The color has started to fade a bit so i am curious if anyone knows of where i can get some of this leather seat paint?

If you insist on doing it yourself your best bet would be to take the seats out and make sure you have industrial quantities of dye, plus you're going to need a degreaser and something to clean the leather with before you apply the dye. But as Flo-rida says, you're better off getting it done by a Pro.
Gotta agree with what has already been said.Get a pro to fix it.
If the dealer used a service to do a spray on the seats, this will soon start peeling off.
Also, the color is not excatly the same as the OEM burnt orange seats.I have the same
color. My driver's seat had a few small areas that were a different color due to wear.I ordered some Magic Mender that advertises exact color match. Its not.As a pro does, you have to blend the color a bit for a match. Its worthwhile to get a pro that specializes in doing high end cars.Check a Merc dealership or,Jaguar/Rover in your area for info on who does their cars.I bought a used low mile Jaguar years ago.It was so clean that it was in the dealer showroom.Only thing,it had 2 holes in the side of the console that
had been used to mount a mobile phone. The dealer said these would be fixed.
They were. You could not tell were the holes were. Also,a perfect color match was done to the leather.
This is what you want.

This is not a DIY so your thread has been moved
Yes you can paint the leather seats but considering that you're asking you probably don't know what to do
I would consult a professional upholsterer or just leave it alone

SEM makes the best pro-quality interior paints, but as with most projects like this, the prep is what makes all the difference.

Thanks for the tips.
This may not be a DIY
and the proper way may be to use a dye
However, when i got the car from a reputable dealer (not a fly by night place). there was obvious signs of an aerosol spray of paint on the arm rest. This says to me there must be a quick fix around.
The seats are in good condition. There is just some discoloration from jeans, rubbing, and what not.
