Bad CPU?
I bought my 350z two months ago and I'm having some crazy issues with it.
I have 6 codes all for camshaft positioning accuator over advanced. I replaced all crank and cam sensors and both solinoids to no luck. Checked timing and its dead on with correct oil and pressure.
Here is where it got weird.
I hooked up my car to a solus to check the sensors and here is what I found out.
Through the cpu standpoint everything is fine. But when I look at it from "vvt" standpoint my car says (at idle and operating tempature)
- fuel is -54 degreese
- at idle car says its doing 150+ mph
- coolant tempature 60 degreese
- timing 14 degreese advanced and when you hit the gas it goes over 40 degreese advanced.
I reset the values to where they should be using the solus and if you rerun the test they all go back to the above...
The car was flood damaged in hurricane sandy so maybe it damaged the cpu? It runs fine besides the fact I have no top end power and its running in limp mode and pulling 6 timing codes.
I also have to drive with traction controll off or the slip light comes on and I will have NO power to my pedal.
(Stock sized rims and tires)
Everything electrical that was accessible has been tested and from an electrical standpoint all numbers coorespect with what they should be on alldata.
Is there a seperate moduel that controlls timing besides just the cpu? Its a 2006 350z VQ35DE.
Thanks and sorry for any grammer issues and layout. Typed it all through my phone

Dude, buy a new or used ECU. Those #'s sound like limits rather than real time readings. I don't know that program this is just basic info that came to mind as I read your issue.
Does it knock or ping. If the timing was truly this far advanced it would 14 at idle and 40 at WOT sound right for 'limits". Those are the settings. Sounds like you're misinterpreting the algorithm.
