Default cd09 problems

Bought a 06 cd09 tranny..and 5th gear grinds! Bullet proof my assss. Drive it around thought mabey after it warmed up and got fluid around it would get better..but it got worse..never buying a used tranny again. Just venting

Its better than 3rd gear griding like my cd01.

I don't know if you've already done this, but have you looked at the VIN # to ensure that it is actually a CD09 transmission?

Doesn't matter if it's a CD009. If it was beat on by the previous owner, it's probably going to grind gears. The synchros are better than the CD008, but it can still grind if you shift poorly or just drive it stupid hard. Sorry to hear you got ahold of a bad one. That's the main reason I purchased mine new from Z1 and had it installed there. A bit more pricey, but I haven't had even the slightest issue.

Cd009 OEM from factory in my 2005 G35 Sedan. Works like a champ with 110k miles on it. Regardless buying a used tranny one would make sure it comes with a warranty or live with the headaches that come with used beat up parts with no warranty.
