Unhappy OC on my stock DD

my Z is my DD so I have to fix the oil consumption soon. My Z is up to 113k if that makes a difference. I've seen a lot people blame the oil rings but they also say it could be the valve covers. What would be best way to handle this? Also my Z is completely stock I personally wouldn't want to consider buying a new motor just fixing this one. Would appreciate any input thanks.

You have to figure out what kind of oil consumption problem you have first.
Is it burning oil or dropping oil?
Is there oil in the intake tube?
How's your pcv valve?
Does it smoke? All the time or on startup only?
Any puddles?
Are the spark plugs all coked up?

I've got an 03 with 114k miles, no oil consumption issues. If you have background in fixing this, take a look at the major gaskets. Are you blowing out blue smoke? You have to figure out where its going.

If you don't have background in this, take it to a knowledgable shop... you have plenty of life left in that motor.
