im curious if anyone had a suggestion what this could be i pulled my 2 plugs by fire wall i think its 5 and 6 and they were covered in oil alot others were fine just those 2 my car is throwing p0300 code p0301 bogging out valve cover gasket? but that seems too easy lol if anyone had this problem lmk thanx
ooooooooh, i see the rings that you are talking about..... never knew about those. but do they really go bad or more the gasket?
The spark plug tube seals are built into the valve cover, you have to replace the whole thing. When they go bad they start leaking oil into the spark plug tube, pooling and eventually covering the plug and bottom of the coilpack. I've seen some so bad that when the coilpack was removed you could barely see the top of the spark plug.
I have the same issue, it's not a big deal, just you valve cover gaskets that go around the spark plug bays, not to big a job, ill be doing mine sometime this week, I have a nice pool of oil in the #6 plug bay
I just had the same thing during a tune up , yes you have to buy both valve covers to replace the spark plug tube seals, each cover was about $215.Mine was just a little oil...
