Default console ashtray repair

Hey guys, first post! Starting to repair a used 350z, so any advice will help!

I have a 2003, and the ashtray is missing, not sure if it was taped up, but it left a firm residue. Do i have to replace the console, or is this replaceable/fixable? Not sure how it is supposed to look but i left pictures. Thanks!

Just get the ashtray that fits in there. Then vacuum your seats and clean your shift ****/boot

And clean everything else around the shifter. I felt sick when I looked at those pics.

I don't know what all the stuff is in the coin holder hole, but if you get a new one it just drops into place.

It looks as though something was spilled (beverage?), and you are seeing the remnants

As iideadeyeii mentions, you can purchase a new insert that is either an ashtray or a felt lined box with a flip top (good for storing change).
