Default Part Diagnosis....Engine Turn Over..No start

Can anyone tell me what parts i need to look into replacing.

i have a 6speed...Was hungry so i went outside to go to the nearest waffle house. I turn ignition to on......hear fuel pump cut on. Then try starting car, and it just spins....won't turn over.

I assume since i heard the fuel pump its not a fuel issue, but spark. other than plugs,wires....what else should i be looking to replace in next couple days???

i have a motorcycle, so long as it stays dry, ill have transportation.

so its been 13hrs since i had the starting issues....i went to work on my bike, came back....took a nap.

so i go outside to try again to start car at 232pm est.....bam...1st time, car starts up. . i am now officially confused.

ill rent a scanner, see if its throwing any codes. Maybe go get my key checked out...idk. scared to drive it, and get stuck where ever i go. Ill go back outside in another hour or so, try crank it again. See if it works like its suppose to again.

ok guys...no laughing, but my key died.

turns out i just needed a new key. I got the old one to work by squeezing the key hard as I was turning to the "on" position. car cut on every time when i did that....... if i didnt squeeze it would just turn over, no crank.

So thats that....$40 for key, $60 to program it.

I got 2 flip out key fobs off ebay even had Z logo on them for like 52 bucks cost 2 bucks to cut them and had nissan dealer program them for free/few war stories so if you factor in gas i would say no more than 60 bucks for everything
