Default Weird Start

The other day my z started different, I think it was because my foot was not all the way down on the clutch.

Can't really describe the sound all too well. Kind of when a car is in winter and it's cold then you start it. But it doesn't want to start so you keep cranking then it finally does lol

As far as I know there is a switch for the clutch, so it will either start when you depress the clutch or it won't, there is no half measure. Mine has always turned over initially quickly, then it seems as though its going to stop and then fires up. This only takes a couple of seconds maximum, from turning the key to firing up. Is yours still starting OK? Does it take longer than it used to take to turn over and fire up?

Thanks for the reply. It seems exactly as you said sometimes as though it's going to stop then fires up.

This was the first time it ever happened and has been perfect since.

I have a 2004.5 touring with 51,000 miles and always get oil changes every 3k

You have to tell us if it cranks ok or not.
Does it crank more than normal, then startup?
...Or does it crank slow, then crank faster and start.

So your starter cuts out before the engine fires?

Here lately I've noticed on colder days when I start my car it cranks and fires as normal but after the initial rev of it firing off it will drop down and stumble a little then pick back up and smooth out.

On the warmer days it is just fine.
