Default Fuse or pinched wire?

Recently I was replacing my rear trunk light. When I inserted a new led bulb, I noticed a small spark/some smoke appeared. I'm curious if a fuse was blown, or there's some pinched wire that caused this (or both). All my other interior lighting works fine. One thing I have noticed though is my rear defroster button isn't working anymore... I'm not sure if replacing the trunk bulb caused this, but it was working fine before this occurred.

Any input will be greatly appreciated for both issues. Thanks in advance.

Check the fuse first.

LED lights need to be installed with the correct polarity (positive side vs. ground side) as opposed to a standard bulb that can be installed either way. If you got a spark and are getting no light, you're reverse-biased and may have shorted something during the installation process or killed the LED altogether.

If you haven't done so already, return everything back to the way it was originally. If it's working, then the problem is probably with the LED (meaning, you installed it the wrong way.)

Thank you for the reply. I've tried a number of bulbs... still no luck though. I bought the LED's from Amazon and I'm not sure what else to do. Do you think it's blew a fuse?
