Default problems starting up, and SES codes

The 350z seemed to limit the revs while I was driving. turned it off and on again and got the service engine soon light, vdc off and slip. got the codes read and it gave p1614 and p0340, replaced the camshaft position sensor twice and it did not work. and the car takes more time than normal to start on. any ideas on what to do next?

thank you for the link! weird thing is I re-installed the camshaft position sensor that came with the car, and the vdc and slip light turned off, and the car did not take extra time to start. does the car need some time to adjust to a new sensor or something, will reseting the ecu work?

Dumb question, but did you replace the correct sensor? There is more then one camshaft sensor.

Also what brand of sensor did you use? I bought Ebay brand before and they were crap. I finally bought OEM and never had any more problems.

the code it gave me specified it was for the bank 1 sensor, and I changed that one. I bought an ebay one, lasted a couple of days, then bought a used original one, did not work, then I bough a brand new nissan one, and did not work either. maybe the brand new nissan sensor was bad out of the bag?
