Truck is locked, replaced latch due to damage, the actuator is broken too after I fixed the latch.

So when I needed to pull the emergency release cable for the trunk, it pulled off. My fault for not making sure it was all the way in. So now the actuator is not working and the trunk is latched to the hook.

What options do I have? Drill the rear bumper to where the latch is? I need to get it opened. Been a few months already. I have no ideas. Suggestions? Thanks!

 

I'm pretty sure you can get the interior panels off with the hatch closed, but I never thought about it when I had mine apart. The real problem will be getting back there to do it!
