Think I buffed off my clear coat
i think it is savable, if you do take to a detailer take notes and before and after pics.... good luck sir
black is a pain to take care of, but looks oh so good when clean. after you get it done, hand wash only. the less times you touch the paint the better

I use Adam's polishes so if anyone knows about the equivalent products from other brands just chime in.
Go over a small section of the paint using swirl and haze remover and a porter cable dual action polisher. Make several passes and take your time. refresh the pad with SHR and repeat. Wipe area clean then examine in sun light and some direct fluorescent light. If that doesn't bring back your clear then I would be sh*ttin bricks honestly.

I used a Craftsman buffer and Turtlewax rubbing compound
Here's a pic of my Z. You can tell it doesn't look as shiny as it used to, it's more dull.
I hope to get a body kit and repaint the car anyways in the next two years just not right now. I'm waiting to get into a house so I can park my car inside a garage and save it from the sun.

I agree with myfirstzcar. The cleaning compound you used is course enough to remove an oxidation layer and contaminants, but not ruin the clear coat.
Use a garden hose to thoroughly rinse the cleaning compound off the car’s finish. After that you can polish. Professional detailers can do the polish.
