Well Samniss, I just fixed mine. I had similar issues I would turn the key forward, throttle bodies would open, windshield wipers would come on (without being turned on), gear indicator would not show what gear it was in it was just blank, when I would turn the lights on my illumination was off and tail lights wouldn't work kept blowing 10A fuse for them in IPDM. After some serious searching I found two wires fused together coming from my convertible top button located next to the TCS button from where the previous owner had a remote start or alarm piggybacked off of which must've caused the short. After more searching I found a bunch of serious melting issues throughout the dash wiring harness 24010 and engine bay/headlight harness 24012. I elected to do the work due to the quote of $3,500-4,000 to fix. My suggestion to whoever decides to do this is take notes and document EVERY STEP, pen and paper, photos, label every connector when you unplug it, take pics of exactly how the harness is routed and positioned, place nuts and bolts back where they go when removing something just thread them in a little so they are there when you go back in with piece where possible and place the rest in a container and label them. If it is your engine bay harness 24012 which connects to the IPDM, small engine fuse box, headlights, BCM inside car near driver side floor etc. you'll have to remove EVERYTHING on the dash including support mount behind the dash that holds the dash in place so you can remove ac/heater compressor because the two heater and two A C lines that go from the compressor thru the firewall go over the wiring harness running along the firewall stopping you from removing harness with compressor still in. This isn't a easy job as evident by the price tag lol. I was able to find both harnesses at Nissan Unlimited a Nissan salvage parts dealer in Houston Texas for $125 on the dash harness 24010 and $150 for the engine bay harness 24012. It is of the upmost importance that you make sure the second set of letters/numbers on the part I.d tag match that of your harness i.e 24012-EV00B. They're located on the harness I believe the label for 24010 was near the steering column under the dash and 24012 was between the drivers side of the windshield and the driver side headlight. Important to make sure there is damage to the harness first as this could be a ECU/BCM/IPDM/CAN connection problem as well. If you need any more info just let me know and hopefully I can be of some help.
