2006 350z factory CD player wont play/eject
hi All,
i had 2 CD on "1" and "2", havent listened to them (i usually listen to the radio or have the audio off actually)
thats about 10 months since i last used the CD player, last week i suddenly pressed the CD button and they wont play, i try both 1 and 2, the disc player isnt changing disc (no noise)
i pressed the eject, no response neither
pressed and hold the eject button in all eject button, as well, no response/noise
turn it off, turn it back on. called a friend who has a 370z and he said same problem in his, i just had to play other disc and it will eventially, but mine in fact wont play any disc (it doesnt even make the noise as if it is to when it is changing disc)
i pressed the load button, tried all 3-6 slot, and stick the disc at the opening and it wont take it
did a search but the related post didnt seem to have a solution and the replies are dated back 2 years ago so thought i may try posting and see if i could gather some new solutions that would work.
most of the comment ends up getting an aftermarket unit which in my case if i cant get it fixed/the cd pulled out i dont mind not listening to the CD at all...
thanks for all yall help

My 06 has a similar problem. Radio works fine but the CD is hit or miss. I took the car to the dealer and they said I could buy a rebuilt unit for it that would cost me $1200. Just so you know. You can replace the head unit with aftermarket but if you have navi then you will lose the voice prompts.
