Default Annoying clicking sound inside cabin at/above 3k RPMs

Hey guys, I'm reaching out to all of you in case someone has found a fix for this. Whenever I press down the accelerator while driving, or even at a stand still (in neutral), I hear this annoying clicking sound that sounds like it's coming from the area near the gas pedal. It only does it when I reach 3k RPMs and higher, but goes away once it goes below 3k. It's been doing this for quite some time, but the only thing I can think of, based on research, is oil related. I'm the 3rd owner of this car and when I did the first oil change after buying it, I put Royal Purple in it. Could it be related to that? Should I try a different brand of oil? I have a 2008 Nismo 350Z with only 46k miles on it; I bought it with 28k and have used Royal Purple since then. Any help would be appreciated.

Your issue almost sounds like mine, I've narrowed mine down to the shifter assembly. Try to replicate the noise while firmly gripping the shifter to prevent any vibration.

Hmmm, ok, I'll give that a try and see what happens. Thanks!
