I don't know how long they haven't worked and maybe never since I've owned the car. I've always opened the hatch with the alarm button on my key chain. But one day decided to use the button and it didn't work. I was like F it. But then someone yelled out to me on the road that i had no lic plate light. I've checked 3 fuse boxes and found nothing. I don't understand how it works with the alarm button on my key chain but not from the button. I know its getting power. My question is it somehow a different power wire? A relay? I'm perplexed. I've been using a wire from my cig lighter and a light taped above my lic plate so i don't get a ticket. Lol Any help would be appreciated.

 

Same thing happened to me when I had some work done on the rear bumper. they forgot a connector....if you had some recent work, take it back. I think it a PITA to take off the rear bumper on your own.
