Default Wheel lip damage due to salt

I was wondering if there was any steps in repolishing the lip from salt damage. I have Volk GT7's and the lip shows slight corrosion in certain spots. I know I should not be driving aftermarket rims during this time of the year but its my only car and my stockers are bald. Is it still possible to bring it to a qualified machine shop that can restore it back to its first appearance? Or due to my stupidity am I left with scars on my lip forever?

my girl friend curbed mine a few months ago, the dealer said a new wheel was $700..wow! The tech then told me about a company here in atlanta that did off brand insurance work, it's a national co can't remember the name, ask at the dealer, it was $150 to make the wheel look new.

I damaged one of my gt7's as well, im in the midst of getting it reapired. Do you know if the lip is clearcoated or just polished? They started to polish it and they made a line on the lip so they called me to come look at it before they went futher. It looks like clear coat because they edges where they polished it look like a wax build up

thanks man, I dont mind them taking the wheel apart as long as it looks close to new when i get it back. They were just worried that it wasnt clearcoat on the lip and that they were wrecking the finish when they were polishing
