Default PLEASE HELP P0340 Bank 1

I've replaced the Cam Shaft Position Sensor 3 times already and it keeps coming up with the same code. I took it to a shop and they ran the code and said that it is detecting an open circuit. I think that it could be the battery becuase everytime its really cold outside the volts gauge reads higher than normal approx. 14.8. when the outside temperature is on the warmer side the volts guage reads approx 14.0. could that have somewho fried the sensor?? So far its just that sensor that has gone out.

Now everytime I start it, it wont turn over unless i tap the gas a little bit.
please help.

Does anyone know about the recall for '04 Z's about the Cam and Crank position sensors?
