Help with Code P0500
I recently got s 03 350z and its throwing the code P0500 for the vehicle speed sensor A. I'm trying to figure out which sensor this is so I can order a new one. I can't figure out if it's the one on the tranny or one by the wheels. Please help me. Is this what I need? http://m.autozone.com/autozone-mobile/en/parts/Duralast-Vehicle-Transmission-Speed-Sensor/_/N-jklthZ6wmy6?id=257686

A P0500 has a few possible causes:
• Harness or connectors (The CAN communication line is open or shorted)
• Harness or connectors (The vehicle speed signal circuit is open or shorted)
• Wheel sensor
• Unified meter and A/C amp.
• ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) (models without VDC)
• VDC/TCS/ABS control unit (models with VDC)
If you're not seeing a code with a generic scanner, the code may be set in the ABS. Unfortunately, you're probably going to need to pay either the dealer or a shop with an advanced scanner (Snap-On Verus Pro, etc...) for diag.

No. That's your crank position sensor.

ABS controller. U1000 is a CAN communication code, C1136 is a speed sensor code, C1156 is a steering angle sensor code. Most likely, the ABS unit has an internal fault causing a loss of communication.
The P0303 is a cylinder 3 misfire. Pull out the middle coil on the passenger's side and check for oil on the end of the coil. If there's oil, you need a valve cover. If no oil, pull the plug. If it's got a big gap, replace your plugs.

does anyone know if this loose ground could be the problem? Where is it suppose to connect?
I found it while looking at the rear speed sensors.
Looks like it is a ground point to the frame right above the exhaust tips

Glad the computer fixed it. Usually, a U1000 code stored in just one module means that module is bad.
That wire just grounds your exhaust system. Hot gasses flowing through the pipes can build up a static charge. In the last pic, the nut that the wire is hanging near... It goes on that stud.
Did you get your cyl. 3 misfire sorted out?

I believe its a loose cam sensor missing the clip in piece on the pigtail. trying to track down just the pigtail.
