Default Cutting off at 2,500 rpm

I know there have been threads on this before, but my case is different.

I recently bought an '05 Touring edition with less than 10k on everything. I put an AEM cold air intake on her and it ran great until today since it rained I guess. But the weird thing is, I didn't even drive it in the rain, I just started it in the morning about to go to class and it just cut off when i try to rev it past 2500 and I believe it idled a little funny. I guess its fail safe mode or whatever, but I never drove the car, it was parked in my driveway.

Do I need to replace the MAF sensor or what?

Here's a vid just in case it helps:

Make sure the maf is actually connected properly. If it is you might clean it up. There is no reason the stock sensor wouldnt work for that intake though.
