ABS, Brake, TCS, and SLIP Alternate Fix
After leaching from this forum for awhile I thought I would include some info on the infamous low brake fluid issue.
I thought this was my problem for sometime. I figured out today that having a bad brake light switch will cause the same problem lights to come on. There are two switches on the brake pedal, one is normally open (brake light switch, black connector, upper switch) and the other is normally closed (VDC??, brown connector, lower switch). When the brake is pressed in, one goes open and the other closed, the car must compare these values and if there is an issue it makes the same lights come on.
My switch would come and go so it was hard to figure out. I eventually took the switch completely apart and filed the contact with an emery board (nail file). Hope this helps someone!!!!
