Question Soft Top Elastic Strap Kit Install

Has anyone performed the installationof the Elastic Starp Kit for the convertible top on a 350Z before? If so is there any gotches Ineed toknow about before hand?

dont wanna sound like a dick or nothing but have you looked at the do it yourself tab in the forums? it could possibly be there.

I changed the front ones when I DIY top in Jan.
You will have to drill out the rivet heads on each attachment, you will need correct size replacement rivets. If you can work these hand tools its quite easy.

Are you replacing the top or trying to help it close?

Sorry Sgoodin, the search functions here is not that good. We have discussed the function of the second bow many, many times here. It needs a touch of maintenance every few years and eventually the renewal of these two elastic straps. There are many alternatives to the factory straps, but if you have them in hand, here is an excellent tutorial with step-by-step photos

Just trying to assist it to close. The dealer wanted to replace all of it but the top is in perfect condition and I didn't feel it necessary to do that if it wasn't needed.
