Default Trip computer not working

Hello my trip computer will turn on but stay on the:" --- mph " screen. Tried using the controls on the main cluster, but the trip computer wont respond. I already unplugged it and plugged it again, that did not work, and I replaced the trip computer(the 3 on the center) with another I had, and that wont work either.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Start with an OBD scanner, U1000 code can cause this, Also check the connection between the triple meter and the unified meter/AC amp .

hello, could not check anything with OBD scanner since the CEL light wasnt on. But I did check the unified meter/AC amp, and on the connectors on the back of it, one was completely broken, soldered a cable, re-attached everything. Everything is working now, except that I cannot see the option to set the shift light. Could the missing shift light settings may be absent if the unified meter/ AC amp was replaced by the previous owner using an automatic transmission meter/ AC amp?
