Did you you remove the baseball cards from your spokes? Today is smart *** day at my350z.com. The member with the best smart *** post will win, free of charge, a complete set of feathered RE040's. All you have to do is drive down to your local playground and scoop up a couple shovels full. Other than that it could be a bad u-joint on the drive or half shafts, I've heard reports of insufficiently tightened half shafts and I have heard other reports that the TCS, ABS sensor stuff makes some kind of clicking noise. If you are still hearing it in second above the monotonous drone of the engine and the rumble of the feathered tires it must be pretty loud. Perhaps it's time for another trip to the dealer. Watch your oil cap though.

this sound also happens in reverse... its not constant ... only at the start of each gear.... it sounds like bed springs bouncing when people have sex

hmmm i've been noticing it lately as well.... it seems to be coming from the rear... and yea, it happens at the start of my 1st gear...
just wonderful isnt it? I drive to work in bumper to bumper traffic and it goes like this.... 1st gear *click*click*.... 2nd gear *grind*.... ..... uh-oh time to stop again.... stupid loud fire feathering... haha... okay its not as bad as i make it sound, the clicking doesnt happen everytime & neither does the gear grind, cuz i double clutch every time i go to 2nd now ... but i do think my trip to the dealer is long overdue...
