Default Rear Facing Camera

350z forums,

Just curious... I was installing my rear facing camera and had the car on. I put the car in reverse and the lights weren't turning on, I tried putting it in neutral, and then again putting it into reverse. I repeated these steps multiple times, and still nothing--the camera wasn't popping up on my double din, nor were the reverse lights turning on. Finally, I turned the car off. I tried turning it back on, but my car decided not to start. All the headlights turn on, the brake lights work, double din still works, etc. All electronics are working correctly, no fuses seem to be blown. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

edit: it's a 350z 6 speed touring 03'

First and foremost, you should NEVER do any work involving an electronic system on the Z without disconnecting the battery before you start. Not knowing how you installed your rearview camera, it's impossible to make an educated guess on what is wrong. Have you checked all the fuses under the dash as well as the IPDM?

Yeah... I should've known before installing it, lol. And I plan on replacing all fuses by tonight--under the dash and the IPDM. We'll see from there.

Do you have the ability to pull codes from the BCM and ECM?
