Unhappy Trouble replacing camshaft sensor bank 1, need some help

Just got my Z last friday and started learning to drive stick on the weekend when the check engine, no vdc, and some other lights came on. It gave the error P0430. I went out and got a new sensor and a 10mm wrench to take out the old one.

However.... I cant get the old one off. It's really hard to reach in there and the wrench just keeps sliding instead of turning the bolt. Is there any way to reach it more easily or unclip the green thing first?

Here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/MtU7t

Can't wait to drive some more. Thanks for any help.

socket and ratchet - about 3 inch reach can fit in under the black tubing.... from the area where the golden looking bracket is. pretty easy.

That's the tutorial I was following. The ratchet is too big to fit on the bolt and the wrench just slides and grinds the edges of the bolt. It's really stuck in there good and I'm not sure exactly how I can loosen it up. I'll go look for another tool this weekend I guess if that's what it takes.

You're using the wrong kind of tool to do the job. If you must go with an open-ended wrench (not recommended), at least go with something that's got flank drive so it digs in to the bolt without stripping it. Wright tools make a WrightGrip wrench (search Amazon) that will do the job nicely. I believe SK and Snap-On also make flank-drive tools.

Here's a video review that illustrates what I'm talking about:

If you don't have tools to do something this simple, then maybe a trip to the tool store or better still, a mechanic, is in order.

Edit:
I looked at the photo. Wow, that's about as simple a job as you can do. If you want to do your own work, then great, but spend a few bucks and get a halfway decent tool set first.
