Please help! New 350z Owner...

Hi Guys!
Nice to meet you, name is Kate.
New 350Z owner here, this is my first cool car, as obsessed as all of you. A 2004, but got it for $11k, only 44,000 miles on it. Was previous owner's occasional beach car, ha.
I'm sure someone will be throwing stones for creating a new thread but just finding my way around here... will move elsewhere if need be.
Question: 350z, 2004, soft-top stuck in final opening position, photo as follows:

Any ideas? Mechanical or could this be caused by tears near the rear-window? Have read plenty on it though haven't found an exact answer. Wondering if not mechanical, could be solved by patch/sealant? Trying to avoid replacing top for a bit.
Thank you so much.
P.S. About to get this thing wrapped in black & add baby blue matte rims... acceptable for a girl, I suppose.

I personally don't own a convertible, but I can be fairly certain that your roof staying stuck open has nothing to do with a torn rear window seal,UNLESS for some reason it's so badly torn it's causing something to bind which is quite unlikely.
I would start by checking all of your fuses to make sure you haven't blown a fuse. Also make sure nothing is binding/causing it to stay open as it is.Hopefully the motor that actuates the roof hasn't quite on you.
Best of luck
