Default Overheating when boosting

Hi, I'm having overheat problem with my twin turbo Z, the strange thing is it will run at normal temp until I use boost and then jumps right up in temp. Anyone got any ideas on why?

Boost = more hp = more heat. You may need to upgrade your cooling system, and/or add an oil cooler.

Stock cooling not working properly. I ran stock plugs and did not have cooling issues with a single turbo mounted behind drivers taillight and it gets very very hot in my engine bay.

These. ^^^

Other things to consider for a blown application: You might want to consider going to a slightly cooler thermostat as well. (But don't go too cold!) Stock is 170-deg, Mishimoto (and others) offer a 155-deg (or thereabouts). And auxiliary electric fans if the above doesn't do the trick.

Can't tell from your pic but it looks (and sounds, from your description re: underhood heat) that your turbo install could benefit from a turbo insulator blanket. (And possibly OP's as well.)

I've outfitted almost every turbo car I've owned (present turbos excluded... for now) - even transferred one from one car to the successor cars utilizing same G-T3 unit. Works great.

I was actually looking into a turbo blanket last week. That video sold me where he puts his hand right on the blanket.
