Ok tire pressure light comes on after I drive about 10 miles, tire pressure is fine in all four tires 32 - 34 pounds. I shut the car off and go, the light stays off for 10 miles or so then comes on again. Any ideas?
Can an over inflated tire cause the light to come on?
Does the computer read the spare tire pressure?
Can I test it like on other cars by deflating one tire at a time to see if the light comes on?
Do you get tire pressure readings when you check them through the 3-gauge center cluster? If you have a bad sensor, then you'll get a "--" reading on the bad sensor.
If all 4 readings are blank, then you need to either register the sensors or it's possible all 4 went bad simultaneously but that's doubtful.

2006 was the last model year where actual pressures were displayed on the trip computer. However, some folks with 2007 and later models have regained that function by retrofitting the triple meters from 2006 or earlier cars.

The car is new to me so I'm just learning about it - she is a 2005, yes I think the tire pressures show on the cluster, I didn't know what that was I will have to check them closer tomorrow and see what they say, thanks.
Well their you go... Yeah gotta check the cluster... Once you see that tire pressure displayed on the cluster it gives you the warm and fuzzies inside...
I have an 03 touring model. I had the same problem and when I went to get new tires I asked them about it and they told me there were no sensors in any of the tires. Hope this helps.

Okay looked at the gauge today and there are no numbers just dashes for all four tires, Do you have to have the car running or rolling down the road to see numbers? I just started it but did not drive it. Looking at the valve stems there are not your normal rubber stems.
I think you have to start driving for a little bit in order to "wake up" the sensors. My TPMS don't send the psi as soon as I start it. Once I start driving a little bit, the readings pop up.
I know some sensors can be activated with a magnet, but driving it should work unless the sensors' batteries are all dead. Their lifespan is about 10 years.

Gotta drive and get them rotating before they start sending a signal... Those look like the factory stems with the sensors on the other side..
One other thing OP (just to save any potential future questions), the TPMS basically have this design:
I have an '05 also. I ordered a set of VDO SE10001HP REDI-Sensor 314.9 MHz/315 MHz TPMS Sensor off of Amazon and they work great once I registered them using this diy: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...ring-tpms.html
I "think" that the frequency of the TPMS changed in newer models so not all sensors will work across all years of the Z.
Okay took car out a few times and tire pressure 34-35 psi showed on dash for all four tires but low tire pressure light still comes on at about 10 miles out. Shut car off and go it stays off for about 10 miles and comes on again? Is there a way for the car to relearn the correct pressures or do you have any other suggestions?
The sensors are battery powered, and your battery is at the end of its life. Sensor will need to be replaced. Unfortunately when one goes the rest tend to not be far behind.

Take it down to your favorite tire store and have them read the TPMs at each wheel. Only way to know for sure. Don't bother trying to get a "rebuild kit", they're just for the seals, not batteries. When dead, you gotta R&R the whole thing.
Good news is that the only thing bad about this is that the light stays on in an irritating manner and you have to manually check your tires.... which is a good thing. But you can just wait until it's time for new tires to save on labor costs.
