Question about TPMS light and how to fix

A dying (not dead) battery can send an erroneous pressure reading and at the same time, triggering the tire warning light - not necessarily due to actual pressure variance but due to a fault in the TPM itself; for example, weak battery.
Nissan uses what's called high line, direct TPMS in which the sensors aren't always transmitting but doing so under demand by the transmitter, mounted on the body in prox to the wheel its monitoring.
This type of system will register TPM faults within the electronics side of the system (lighting up the dash warning light) but the pressure sensing mechanism (electro-mechanical in nature) may still be working and will send that empirical data to the computer for read-out on the dash.
As I mentioned, the only way to KNOW for certain is to have the sensors read.

For the third time, Go. To. The. Tire. Store. And. Have. The. Sensors. Read. This is the only way to know for sure. Keyboard jockeying isn't going to do a darn thing because no one here is putting hands on the car, just the keyboard.

Then one day... "Dammit, why'd I slide off the road?!? Hmmm. I remember that big mouth guy said something about not trusting my TPM sensors and.... oh yeah....... driving school."
But y'know what? dboyz is right. I've adopted that approach and actually check my pressures according to the travlee method... with a gauge and weekly - or at least before hill runs.

VDO SE10001HP REDI-Sensor 314.9 MHz/315 MHz TPMS Sensor
Or, you can get a 2 pack for $51.47 making them cheaper per individual unit.

The TPMS I linked before (albeit 2 years ago when OP originally started this thread) are $30.99 each on Amazon. I have had zero issues with them on my '05.

One other thing OP (just to save any potential future questions), the TPMS basically have this design:
I have an '05 also. I ordered a set of VDO SE10001HP REDI-Sensor 314.9 MHz/315 MHz TPMS Sensor off of Amazon and they work great once I registered them using this diy:

I "think" that the frequency of the TPMS changed in newer models so not all sensors will work across all years of the Z.

Can you tell me where the TPMS relearn wire is and what color on the 05? The pictures in the link supplied are tiny and I can't see or figure it out, thanks

I can follow the procedure its pretty straight forward, I just can't find the wire. I don't want to take it to the shop I'm DIY guy, and BTW I love yoga. Maybe someone can send a pic of the wire, thanks ????
