Ok so I just found out that my brake lights stopped working. When I step on the brake pedal the 2 rear brake lights don't light up, however, the 3rd brake light at the top works just fine.

Changed the bulbs, did nothing.

The smaller bulb doesn't light up when I turn my headlights on, the bigger bulb does light up though. However pressing the brakes has no effect (except w/ the 3rd brake light).

Checked all the fuse (IPDM box) and all were fine, don't think it's the brake light switch by the brake pedal since the 3rd brake lights up, I took it out and cleaned it a little bit regardless. All other lights work fine, parking light (F/R), reverse, headlights etc..

I happen to have a 2006 (OEM LED) driver side tail lamp so I decided to connect it to see if it would work, and it did, worked perfectly.

So what would be the issue as I'm really not that experienced when it comes to wiring, etc... (I assume it's a wiring issue)

Haven't really done anything to the car in years other than maintenance.

Whats the condition of the inside of the plug? Is it rusty?
