Anyone know what this box is for? Can i bash it with a hammer for clearance?<br/><br/>

that protects the evap canister. i wouldnt beat it per se. i would take it down and then see how you can alter it

That is covering the fuel evaporator system I believe. I'd be careful. It's off mine, but I had to cover the lines in heat stuff.

took mine off wrap lines with heat tape

Haha I had to take mine off also, didnt wrap it just stuck another hose over it..
