Default Slight leak on roadster roof

I have a slight leak on my 2004 roadster on the passenger side. I'm pretty confident I've identified the part at fault. The long weather stripping that runs the top of the windshield, part of it has separated from the metal and it lets a little bit of water drip in on the passenger door when it rains moderately hard. I'll try to remember to take a pic later so you can see.

I'm thinking that the solution is rather than replacing the whole weather stripping, to reseal it with a little bit of silicone caulking, preferably black. Has anyone done this before? Any recommended products? I also have some rubber epoxy at home that's meant to stay flexible after it dries, like for shoe soles and stuff, thinking this would also work well. Thoughts?

Thanks!

I think you're on the right track, just make sure the surfaces are clean and dry. gl!

Just an update, I'm leak free since I applied the rubber epoxy to what I thought was the culprit. Haven't seen a heavy rainstorm since, but I did wash the car and no apparent dripping occurred. Nice!
