Default Is my tire repairable? Pics inside...

I tried repairing my tire twice, using a tire repair kit. It works for a bit but then starts to slowly leak air. I used soap and water to test it. Would a tire shop be able to repair it? I circled the area where I did the repair. Thanks for any input.

Not legally. Trav is right, too close to shoulder. You might find a shop around that will do it but if you're in CA, it's illegal. You also have some suspension/alignment issues, that tire is scalloped and worn... IOW, trashed.

And that, unfortunately, shows how bad the problem is.

Early Z's ('03-'04) notoriously had this issue but I don't recall off top of head what the issue was/is. I want to say that the 2004.5 suspension change supposedly rectified the problem. Had something to do with front toe if memory serves.

In any event, your car DEFINITELY needs an alignment. And something I always recommend, if you have shops nearby that do "lifetime alignments", the extra you pay for that service up front pays for itself the next time you go in to get it checked/aligned.

I have this on my AWD vehicles (past and present). Worth it.
