alright so i was driving with some buddies last night and my turbo was making this loud whine and i did a quick pass on someone and during the pass i felt my turbo act up and as soon as i left off my engine sounded really loud and when i stepped on it my turbo was no longer boosting and engine like i said was really loud and as if there was a whole in my exhaust just sounded really bad... i do have a 4.2 stroker engine and a 60mm turbonetics turbo any help would be great if im missing some info that is needed or need to be more specific lmk thanks

 

Did you even trace and inspect your engine bay and turbo system?

Or did you park it, call it a day and post here?

That's the answer right there, when you hear a weird sound from your turbo, ignore and go WOT anyway

I don't wish bad on you but I hope it's nothing catastrophic and most importantly expensive to repair. I wouldn't even drive it anymore. Bring it to a reputable shop and have them look at it and have them estimate the damage.

 

something from your headers back thru you hot side exhaust run to the hot side turbo is open. id imagine a big ol crack on a shitty china crossover pipe. Id imagine it is in fact a hole in your exhaust.
