Default Cranking noise when coasting

I've just noticed a cranking noise when giving no throttle. (It may be doing it while giving throttle, but just can't hear it) It almost sounds like a ratchet cranking. It's intermittent and 'cranks' slower when you slow down and 'cranks' faster when going faster. Does anybody have an idea of what this is?

cranking or clunking? It could be the the CAT heat shield underneath.

I wish I could say stuff like this on the phone when drivers call me asking why their CEL is on or something of that nature.

Scroll down to the coupon for the meglinating variable intensity multifunction power tool. You'll need one of those.
