Default Low oil pressure

Alright guys so my oil pressure light came on the other day and been doing some research and what to see what you guys think the issue is. First thing i did was use a mechanical guage to see if sensor was bad and well it still read around 0psi at idle fml. So im either thinking gallery gaskets or oil pump. Their is no noise from start up and light goes away when i give either a little or accelerate so is only on at complete warm idle.

Definitely sounds like gallery gaskets. What year?

Definitely the gaskets. What was pressure at idle before todays 0 reading? Usually failing gaskets show 5-10 psi for quite some time before failing completely. Was your idle pressure normal 30 psi before today?

Donald trump voice. WRONG. oem are still paper and are not available separately you have to buy the entire timing cover. Eps tuning is what you want.

And just like trump you're speaking about somthing without checking your facts. You can get them from infiniti (nissan) and they are upgraded to metal. OEM parts for the G35 with the HR engin.

Even Courtesy nissan carries them now.

13533-JK21A - large
13533-JK21B - small

13533-JK20A and 13533-JK20B are the old paper, fiber?, parts

http://g35driver.com/forums/g35-seda...ous-about.html

Gaskets were already available upgraded from infinity in 09.

I stand corrected all info ive read says theyre not available separately from the entire cover. And were paper as 13+ Infiniti are failing as well. So we have bigger issues if the metal oem gaskets are failing too as belived at myg37.com with 13+ models that should have updated metal gaskets

Well you're way better than trump then .

You are correct that Nissan directly will only sell the cover. The thinking is because there is no torque spec on the screws. But then infinity sells gaskets and they just say nissan on them . If you read the G35 thread it turn out infinity doesn't sell the oring/gasket needed for the cam covers so they all have to buy the nissan part. Why they both choose to sell only some of the parts is a mystery.

I also don't understand the G37 thread. If they corrected the gaskets in the G35 why didn't they continue to use they old ones? They must know its a problem if they corrected it in the first place. So are the new reinforced ones failing? I am not sure from the G37 thred.

Theres a guy going through warranty now. Hes trying to get the blown gaskets to show us so were kinda up in the air atm. I have 13 g37 coupe and waiting to hear back. My 07 niz is failing as well so im definitely not going to be happy if eventually the 13 coupe needs it too. Ill tell the guys at myg37 that infiniti will sell em just gaskets.

They have to look up the G35 parts from some reason. Infinity won't list the gaskets for the G37 even though they are the same, kind of like nissan.

The EPS kit looks nice though unless they really wasnt OE. Might be able to get the screws over at mcmaster carr if they want to create their own kit. Not sure what the screw size is.

My question would be why do you want to do that? If your planing on high rpm 8000+ it would make sense but otherwise not really and then you at least need cams to get the engin to breath above 7000 rpm anyways.

Nismo would be the OE choice for high rpm.

Alternative for high RPM but they are still working on gears. https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...-oil-pump.html
