our 350Z has developed an issue with the drivers side window. It doesn't move the 1/4" up or down when opening the door or when you attempt to put the top down. This in turn will not let the convertible top activate. Is there a connection problem or motor death. It will engage sometimes if I bump the door panel, but that doesn't always work, and not a real solution.

 

not 100 percent sure, but it does sound like a failing motor as opposed to a connection problem.

 

When mine did that (both) Nissan replaced them under warranty. If you make the effort to search, you will find there are ways to clean and service the motor yourself.
