Helping a friend that just got an '03 350z convertible enthusiast.
I'm not a car junkie so here goes:
Pick up car no power steering
Abs and vdc lights stay on. Occassional tire pressure light on also.
Has codes run at pep boys. It isnt bouncing back anything from the read.
Wondering where to start with this car without heading to dealership.

Drove to NY from FL with lights on no real issues I could feel.

 

The problem you describe could be caused by many different things. You need to get the code(s).

 

Is the only option the dealership for the codes?

 

This is probably a dumb question, but did you check to make sure the power steering belt is in place?

 

I use an independent repair shop, and they don't seem to have any problem getting accurate diagnostic codes. I just replaced an oxygen sensor that they diagnosed with their equipment.

I don't know if they have Nissan's Consult II/III software; but I assume they do, or they have an adequate Consult "clone software."
